It's back to work tonight. I find that during my work week I have very little trouble keeping to a fairly regular sleep schedule - asleep somewhere between 9 & 10 am and awake between 5 & 6 pm - and that works for me for the most part. This 'weekend' my sleep schedule got a little turned around. I predicted this would happen when the weather got nicer and I wanted to stay awake to enjoy it. I took a nap - around 2.5 hours - earlier and then got up and had dinner. It still feels a little weird to be having the main meal of the day at 2 am but not so bad. So I've had two shifts on my new position and I like it! For the most part they give you tasks (which are already outlined on the computer with time limits) and then they actually let you do it! I got pretty much between 9-10 hours sleep last night. I was in bed by 10 but watched a little TV and read until around midnight. I woke up a couple of times to use the restroom and had a couple of 'almost' leg cramps that worked out before I got out of bed. So I actually feel deliciously rested. OMG! I can't believe I slept a little over 10 hours. Even on my days off I rarely sleep more than 6-7 hours at a time, sometimes less. A couple of weeks ago I slept 8 hours and I thought it was a miracle, but 10 hours!? I haven't done that in years ( Read more... )
